I really think her saying that joke means zilch about her ideas about kids, it’s complicated (for me there was a weird internal dissonance and jokes helped) but I see that opinion a lot here so it’s just different perspectives I guess.Pride Month is here, and it is time to gather together, show support for the LGBTQ community, honor those who have fought for equality, commemorate the past, and celebrate the future. It was surreal to go through and if younger me had seen pregnant me she would have been like ?? wtaf no way - you can’t be responsible for an actual baby!?!?! I never thought I wanted one, I didn’t have that maternal urge. I never dreamed I’d be in a stable relationship where I could consider a child. The White Knot has been worn publicly by many celebrities as a means of demonstrating solidarity with that cause. The White Knot combines two symbols of marriage, the color white and 'tying the knot' to represent support for same-sex marriage. People would say to me (and Abigail says a variation of it in the scene) don’t be stupid you’d be a great mum. The White Knot is a symbol of support for same-sex marriage in the United States.
She reminds me of me in the ‘Miss A tamagotchi scene’, and even when I was actually pregnant!?? I used to say stuff like ‘I feel like John Hurt in alien’ and ‘I’ve bought a bunch of baby manuals to read cos fuck know how you look after them’. Personally, I wouldn’t say she ‘doesn’t want kids’ based on this scene. She spoke about having kids in her 30s as a young girl. In the paul Mccartney interview they discuss bringing up kids if famous. There is a magazine article I read where she randomly speaks about potentialy becoming a parent as a non sequitur. See I don’t see that scene that way at all.
